What we collect when you enquire, why, and the rights you have over your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how AVG Educational Trust, which runs Arumug Velayutha Ganapathy Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School(“AVG Vidyalaya”, “we”, “us”), collects and uses personal information submitted through this website. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). We are the data fiduciary for the information described below.
The only personal information this website collects is what you voluntarily enter into an enquiry or callback form. That is:
We keep a record of your enquiry, including the date and the consent you gave at the time of submission, so that we can demonstrate that consent if asked. We do not run advertising trackers and do not buy or sell personal data.
We use this information solely to respond to your admissions enquiry — to call or email you back, share fee or scholarship details, schedule a campus visit, and follow up about the admission of your child. Our legal basis is your consent, given via the tick box on the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below); withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
Enquiries are made by a parent or guardian, not by a child. We ask only for the parent's contact details and, at most, the class a child is applying for — we do not solicit a child's personal information through this website. By submitting the form you confirm you are the parent or lawful guardian making the enquiry. Any further information needed for an actual admission is collected separately, offline, through the school office.
Submitted enquiries are stored in our internal admissions system, which is accessible only to authorised school staff over an authenticated, role-restricted connection. We share your information with one category of external processor:
We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid order of a court or authority in India.
We retain enquiry records for up to 36months from your last contact with us, after which un-converted enquiries are deleted. If your child is admitted, relevant details move into the school's student records, which are governed separately. You can ask us to erase your enquiry sooner at any time.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.
As a data principal under the DPDP Act, you may ask us to:
To exercise any of these, contact our Grievance Officer at contact@avgschool.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. You also have the right to register a grievance with us before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.
